AUTORRETRATO - SELF-PORTRAIT

Ilustración empezada en julio, en tierras del sur de Portugal, muy cerca de Sagres y su Cabo de San Vicente. La luz del día es intensa allí y el paisaje, solitario, seco y abrupto. El viento sopla fuerte, muy fuerte, y sólo deja crecer arbustos de metro o metro y medio de alto. Podría describirse el paisaje como espinoso, a pesar de que los cactus que abundan son crasos y no tienen espinas.

Me sentí muy a gusto en ese paisaje áspero y realicé este autorretrato que he ido completando a ratos, disfrutando sus trazos y contrastes, y que he titulado ‘Tres cactus’.
Illustration started in July, in southern lands of Portugal, near Sagres. Daylight there is intense and the landscape, desolate, dry and rough. The wind blows strong, very strong, and only it let grow shrubs. It could be described as thorny landscape, even though cactus that abound don´t have thorns. I felt very comfortable in this harsh landscape and I realized this self-portrait title 'Three cactus'.
